Biggest Ever Taiwan Tech Career and Internship Fair Held
200 local and international companies join exhibition on Taiwan Tech campus.

The largest ever Taiwan Tech Career and Internship Fair was held on Taiwan Tech campus on 15 March 2019, with 200 companies offering internship and career opportunities to Taiwan Tech students and graduates.

Taiwan Tech's continued success in international employability rankings, such as the QS Graduate Employability Ranking does not come by chance – a good part of it is due to the dedicated work of Taiwan Tech's Office of Students Affairs.

The Taiwan Tech Career and Internship Fair is now in its 25th year, and it has been growing year by year. Apart from the big Taiwanese companies that have joined the fair since its beginnings, we are now seeing more and more young tech firms, particularly in the fields of AI, 5G, Big Data, game design etc. They are all competing to recruit technological talent," explains Chen Yi-Chien, Head of the Career Counselling Division, who has been organizing the fair since 1994.

One of the attractions of this event is Taiwan Tech's high number of international degree students. Taiwanese firms with operations in South East Asia are looking out for graduates who were trained at Taiwan Tech to employ them in their home countries. And generally speaking, the more internationally oriented students are, the more chances they will have on the job market. As Taiwan Tech President Liao Ching- Jong pointed out in his opening address:  "We encourage our students to go abroad, be it for exchange stays, internships, or language training. Taiwan Tech offers plenty of opportunities to gain international experience, this is one of our strengths.”

The 25th career fair at Taiwan Tech was certainly a rewarding day for participating companies, with a record number of 13,600 CVs collected and more than 2400 interviews held. According to a survey among company representatives, students were generally well-prepared and showed an increasingly pro-active attitude.

Thus, it can be expected the next edition of the Taiwan Tech Career and Internship Fair in March 2020 will be an even bigger event with more attractive offers local and international students.
