In the year 2023, under the coordination of Taiwan Tech, the "National Taiwan University System" jointly conducted a recruitment campaign in South Korea. Representatives from National Taiwan University and National Taiwan Normal University's Office of International Affairs accompanied the delegation, traveling to South Korea to organize an admission briefing and participate in the Incheon Global Citizenship Education Festival. The objective of this visit is to explore new opportunities in Northeast Asia and attract a greater number of Korean students to pursue higher education in Taiwan.
The event commenced on June 9th at Incheon Overseas Chinese Chung Shan High School in South Korea. The event began with a cordial reception led by the principal, Mr. Cheng-Zong Sun, on behalf of the host school, who welcomed the admissions delegations from the three universities. During the meeting, Principal Sun passionately shared insights into the educational status of local overseas Chinese students in Korea, providing the participating members with a deeper understanding of the Korean overseas Chinese and educational communities. Subsequently, the faculty members transitioned to the main auditorium, where representatives from the three universities took turns presenting the unique features of their respective institutions and providing information on the application process, attracting the participation of nearly a hundred students.
On June 9th, a group photo was taken during the campus briefing session at Incheon Overseas Chinese Chung Shan High School, bringing together the representatives of the National Taiwan University System and the faculty and students of the host school.
The following day, on June 10th, the Incheon Education Fair, organized by the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education, took place. This exhibition was an invitation-based event, where the Incheon Metropolitan Office of Education invited renowned universities from Korea and overseas to set up booths and provide local high school students in Korea with valuable information to access comprehensive information about both domestic and international higher education opportunities. The entire event attracted the participation of nearly 300 students and parents, creating a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere.

Furthermore, Chief Zheng-Kai Zheng and Secretary Jing-Yi Weng from the Education Division of the Taipei Representative Office in Korea graced the event with their presence. They extended their congratulations to the representatives of the Taiwanese schools in attendance and expressed their aspirations for increased applications from exceptional Korean students to pursue their studies in Taiwan, thereby fostering and enriching educational exchanges between Korea and Taiwan.
Since 2022, the "National Taiwan University System," composed of National Taiwan University, National Taiwan Normal University, and Taiwan Tech, has been engaging in academic exchanges and organizing educational exhibitions in Southeast Asia, resulting in remarkable results. Continuously driven by the objective of promoting Taiwan's higher education resources and expanding international visibility, the "National Taiwan University System" has adopted a collaborative approach, selecting one university each year to serve as the coordinator while all three universities jointly participate in overseas student recruitment initiatives.
The successful conclusion of NTUST's coordination of the student recruitment exhibition in Korea marks a significant milestone. In the future, the "National Taiwan University System" remains committed to promoting Taiwan's higher education resources and fostering an academically enriching environment, providing foreign students with diverse pathways for higher education and comprehensive educational resources.
