PRESUNIV President from Indonesia visited NTUST

 

    Founded by the famous entrepreneur Jababeka in 1997, President University (PRESUNIV) is famous for being an international standard university. Students attend President University from Indonesia as well as many other countries, such as Mainland China, Vietnam, Philippines, and Malaysia. The classes in PRESUNIV are conducted in English, with the aim to train students to be competitive around the world after graduation.

    Dr. Chandra Setiawan, President from PRESUNIV arrived at NTUST for the visit in the afternoon on September 6.  Our Vice President Li San-Liang met with Dr. Setiawan at International Culture Building to extend warm welcome. Dr. Li Zhen-Gang, Head of Office of International Affairs, and Dr. Huang Zhao-Long, Chairman of the Department of Construction Engineering, were also invited to join the meeting. The reception meeting covered the current status of NTUST's exchange programs and the R&D alliances with the partner firms. They also discussed the further cooperation between NTUST and PRESUNIV.

    Dr. Setiawan's visit to our campus aims to get a better understanding of the higher education in Taiwan and to explore the possibilities of establishing the academic exchange programs. The discussion during the meeting included he forms and details of the future exchange programs. Both sides, with the hope of more interaction and a closer relationship, are optimistic about the prospect of the programs.
