NTUST and ASUS cofounded Business and Enterprise College

National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST) announced that they will cooperate with ASUS to launch a program called Business and Enterprise College. For the first year, 21 students who are expected to be trained as future executive managers will be admitted to the program.

There's a wide spread impression in the business sector that schools do not graduate young people that can contribute immediately in their workplace. Apparently there's a gap between school education and the knowhow that is needed by workers in their first jobs upon graduation. To narrow this gap, universities of technology and science are thinking about working with companies to adjust the curriculum to enterprise needs and offer internships for students to know more about workplace skills and hope to be able to put their studies into use immediately when they start their first jobs.

NTUST signed an agreement with ASUS to put such a dream program in place. NTUST President  Liao Ching-Jong noted that the college will create a business mentor system and invite the senior managers from ASUS to familiarize students with the business market as soon as possible and to strengthen the ties between academia and the business world.

Zheng Li-Yi, a graduate student from Department of Mechanical Engineering, was admitted to the Business and Enterprise College. Zheng is good at APP programming. He is looking forward to finding a job in companies like ASUS. He expects to know more about practical training at this new program.

NTUST has already established a Motion Sensing Innovation Lab with ASUS and both organizations have a long history of strategic appliances.  The program aims to offer students opportunities to equip with practical skills that can put into use in the workplace immediately and have a better chance to join the taskforce of ASUS.
