賀！營建工程系周瑞生教授指導碩士班 Citra Satria Ongkowijioyo同學，榮獲L’association des Etudiants Indonesiens en France and Indonesian Embassy主辦之 ｢Innovative Paper Competition 2011｣ best 20 for the finalist of the Worldwide Indonesian Scholar paper competition

•Conference Things and The Purpose

    The conference was some kind like a competition of innovative scientific paper for worldwide Indonesian scholar who studying abroad. The conference it selves had been held by the “L’association des Etudiants Indonesian en France” and the Indonesian Embassy in Paris-France which stand as their biannual program. The conference name is “Innovative Paper Competition 2011” (OKTI2011) and this year is the 2nd event of OKTI. Furthermore, this conference have 5 different categories which are:
1.Education, Social and Humanities Science
2.Electronic and Information Technology
3.Acceleration of Economic Development and, Urban and Environmental Development
4.Medical Science for Society Health Security
5.Science Innovation, Technology and, Food Security and Energy

    Specifically, at first there were around 67 papers accepted by the committee. However, the committee (also by the decision of the juries) decided to take the 20 papers as the finalist to be invited and give speech in Indonesian Embassy-Paris. Since OKTI2011 is not only the conference but also the competition, the committee has invited around 5 juries which come from different scientific major. Therefore, all of the 20 finalist have to give their best presentation including “mastering their paper material” in order to answer deeply all questions asked by the juries.

    Meanwhile, the purpose of this conference is to accommodate the Indonesian scholar thinking who studying abroad by competing in this event. By doing so, hopefully, all of the Indonesian scholar who spread around the world can be more exited to do more research for the advancement of the scientific and in the future, definitely, can be the bright light for the development of Indonesia and of course to the world.

    In particular, the 20 Indonesian scholar finalists came from many different countries, which are: Taiwan, Indonesia, USA, Thailand, Russia, Australia, France, Dutch, Germany, Switzerland, United Kingdom, South Korea and Portuguese. All of them have presented a very interesting topic and compete well in this event by presenting and answering the juries, and also participant’s questions comprehensively regarding their own different topics. Last but not the least, as the final result, my paper which I’ve worked with my Profesor (Jui-Sheng Chou, P.E., Ph.D.) placed in the “best big five” from the 20 finalist who gave speech in OKTI2011.
