Architecture Master Prize 2018: Team Led by Taiwan Tech Professor Wins Prizes in Landscape Architecture

The right to enjoy sunlight is a basic right granted by the United Nations, but in densely populated cities like Hong Kong, people are all too often deprived of this right. A team led by Taiwan Tech Assistant Professor Chen Yan-ting who approached this problem with their Sun Patio-Light Up Shadow - project were successful at this year's Architecture Master Prize competition.

Guided by Taiwan Tech Professor Chen Yan-ting, young Taiwanese architects Fan Chiao-Yun and Chen Chi-Shan garnered three of prizes in the category of Landscape Architecture, i.e. Winner in Landscape Architecture / Public, Landscape Design of the Year, and Winner in Landscape Architecture / Gardens.

The Architecture MasterPrize (AMP), formerly AAP Architecture Prize, is a new architectural award that aims to become the new benchmark for the architectural and design professions globally. The AMP honors designs in the disciplines of architecture, interior design, and landscape architecture with the goal of advancing the appreciation of architecture worldwide. Each submitted design was evaluated by the esteemed AMP Jury, and the best projects were selected across 42 categories.
