Integrating societal ideals and aesthetics, Professor Wou's design philosophy is driven by her concern for sustainable development and the massive waste generated by fast consumption patterns.
Professor Wou has been a dedicated educator at Taiwan Tech’s Department of Architecture for 17 years and also offers courses on “Introduction to Visual Aesthetics” at Taiwan Tech’s Centre of General Education. She believes that teaching is as important as creation, and that interaction and feedback with students enhance both teaching and learning.

Professor Wou is also renowned for her public art, including her permanent installation "City of Light" at Taichung's Autumn Red Valley Ecological Park. This sculpture challenges the limits of mechanical structure, achieving the imagery of lightness and flight through its curvature and surface treatment. For Professor Wou, public art should engage in dialogue with the public and respond to the environment.
